About the role
Opus People Solutions on behalf of Milton Keynes City Council is currently seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children in Care team.
The Role
This is a dynamic role involving a mix of court work and child protection, where you will play a key part in safeguarding children and supporting positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a caseload involving Child Protection and Children in Care (LAC)
Undertaking court work, including Public Law Outline (PLO) processes
Preparing and presenting court statements and reports
Participating in a duty rota
Conducting Child Protection (CP) and LAC visits
Working Arrangements
Based at Civic Offices, Milton Keynes
Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 1 day working from home (subject to service needs)
37 hours per week
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Worker Englands registration
Strong experience in court work and child protection
Experience within a Children in Care setting
Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload effectively
