Rate: £90 - £120 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We are working with an outstanding special needs school in Leeds, committed to providing exceptional support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special educational needs (SEN). The school is dedicated to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where students with ASD, as well as those with additional needs, can thrive academically and personally. The focus is on empowering students to achieve their full potential in a nurturing setting.
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD, assisting them in engaging with lessons and school activities.
* Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioral development, helping them navigate classroom interactions and develop essential life skills.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering personalized learning plans, following the guidelines in students' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Implement strategies alongside the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to promote an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
* Encourage students to build confidence, self-esteem, and independence within their learning and social settings.What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children with ASD or other SEN, preferably in an educational environment.
* A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students with autism and other additional needs.
* A genuine desire to work in education and help children overcome barriers to learning.
* The ability to adapt teaching styles and strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
* A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.To be eligible, you must:
Have the Right to Work in the UK.
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to apply for a new one.
