Job Title: Senior HR Business Partner (18-Month Fixed-Term Contract) Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading professional services organisation seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join their team on an 18-month fixed-term contract.
This is a strategic and commercially focused role, partnering with senior leaders across a complex corporate division and multiple specialist business areas. You will play a key role in driving the people agenda, supporting organisational performance, and influencing decision-making at a senior level.
The successful individual will be a credible and confident HR professional who can build strong stakeholder relationships while also being willing to challenge constructively when required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a complex environment, enjoys influencing change, and wants to make a meaningful impact within a high-performing business.
Whilst this role is initially offered as a fixed-term contract, there is potential for longer-term opportunities as the organisation continues to evolve.
Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic and operational HR support across multiple business areas
Provide expert advice and guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations
Influence and support business leaders in driving performance, engagement, and capability development
Challenge and support stakeholders to ensure people decisions align with business objectives
Lead and support complex people initiatives and change programmes
Utilise people data and insights to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement
Support succession planning, talent development, and leadership capability programmes
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
Build strong relationships across the wider HR function to deliver a seamless people experience
Contribute to wider people strategy initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Proven experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a complex, matrix-style organisation
Strong experience supporting senior stakeholders within professional services, legal, financial services, consulting, or similarly complex environments
Excellent understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
Demonstrated experience managing organisational change, workforce planning, and employee relations matters
Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence and challenge at senior levels
Commercially minded with the ability to align people strategies to business objectives
Data-driven approach with experience using people analytics to inform decisions
Professional services or legal sector experience would be highly advantageous
