We are seeking an experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical skills, welding and fabrication experience, and a problem-solving mindset.
You will play a vital role in maintaining factory machinery, minimising downtime, and supporting safe and efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities Engineering & Maintenance Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and production-critical issues
Carry out planned preventative maintenance across all site equipment
Diagnose and repair faults on grading, weighing, washing, and packing machinery
Maintain mechanical systems including motors, gearboxes, and drive systems
Support hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repairs
Complete welding and fabrication work for repairs and bespoke projects
Ensure all machinery is maintained to engineering and safety standards
Assist with investigations into foreign object complaints and implement corrective actions
Carry out occasional maintenance of buildings and site services
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and industry regulations
Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within manufacturing or production
Strong xwzovoh mechanical engineering background
Welding and fabrication experience
Ability to fault-find and work effectively under pressure
Good communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of health & safety and food safety standards
