- £56,000 Hours: 40 hours per week Contract: Permanent
- Site Based Location: Central London THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for an experienced Senior Theatre Nurse to take on a pivotal role within a busy private surgical programme.

This is a senior, autonomous position with extended clinical responsibilities spanning the full surgical day from pre-operative assessment through to post-operative discharge.

You will be the primary clinical nursing presence on every day of surgery, working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and ODPs to deliver the highest standard of patient care in a CQC-regulated environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Performing scrub, circulating, and anaesthetic nurse roles across a range of elective procedures
* Conducting pre-operative patient assessments and medical history reviews
* Coordinating and completing surgical pathway documentation across the full day of surgery
* Managing Controlled Drugs, theatre keys, and CD documentation
* Overseeing recovery room care and supporting safe patient discharge
* Handling and labelling histopathology and blood samples
* Ensuring ongoing CQC compliance, audit participation, and governance standards WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Essential:
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
* Post-registration theatre / perioperative qualification or equivalent experience
* Proven scrub, circulating, and recovery experience
* Strong knowledge of perioperative protocols and aseptic technique
* Experience with surgical pathway documentation and pre-operative assessment
* Knowledge of Controlled Drugs legislation
* Understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards Desirable:
* Experience in private / independent healthcare
* ILS or ALS certification
* Familiarity with aesthetic or reconstructive surgical procedures
* Experience across multiple surgical specialties ABOUT YOU You are a calm, detail-oriented theatre professional who takes pride in documentation, patient safety, and clinical excellence.

You are comfortable working autonomously, managing a complex surgical day, and acting as the clinical anchor for the whole team.
