Experienced School Finance Officer Location Cheddar, Somerset Role Overview We are seeking an experienced School Finance Officer to support the day-to-day financial operations within a school environment. This role requires a candidate with proven school finance experience and strong knowledge of PS Financials. Key Responsibilities * Manage financial administration and accounting processes. * Process purchase orders, invoices, payments, and receipts. * Maintain accurate financial records and reports. * Support budget monitoring and financial planning activities. * Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end and year-end procedures. * Liaise with staff, suppliers, and external stakeholders on finance-related matters. * Ensure compliance with school financial procedures and policies. Essential Requirements (Mandatory) * Previous experience working in a school finance role. * Proven working knowledge of PS Financials. * Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent organisational and time management skills. * Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Contract Details * Position: Experienced School Finance Officer * Location: Cheddar, Somerset * Start Date: ASAP * Salary: Dependent on experience Important Applications will only be considered from candidates who have school finance experience, experience using PS Financials, and hold a current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
