Find what drives you on a team with a more than 75-year history of discovery, determination, and innovation. Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible. The Senior Buyer is responsible for leading and developing a team of Buyers to achieve/over achieve on business KPI's of Supplier On Time Delivery and Inventory ReductionsThis position reports to the Senior Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Procurement Team located in Redruth and will be an on-site role.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Lead a Team to achieve departmental goals Work within SAP S4 Hana using MRP systemUse continuous improvement tools to further develop and introduce effective processesAttend weekly site management meetingConduct regular 1 to 1's with team membersThe essential requirements of the job includeStrategic Procurement Leadership - Drive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring cost optimisation, supplier reliability and risk mitigation, expediting late orders at earliest stageTeam Development and Performance Management - Lead, mentor and coach a team of buyers to enhance negotiation skills, supplier relationship management and compliance with company policiesSupplier Relationship -- Work with Supplier Relationship Manager and Supplier Quality Engineer to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliersData Driven Decision Making - Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve procurement efficiency and support long term planningCross functional collaboration - Work with operations, demand planning, supply chain teams to align procurement activities with production schedules, inventory targets and organisational goalsTravel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:Ability to travel – Visits to Supplier SitesMust have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Team leading/managementManufacturing environmentPall Corporation, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
