Location: Kent, with travel to customer sites

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience

The Opportunity:

An established industrial refrigeration specialist is looking to appoint a Maintenance Manager to take responsibility for the delivery and coordination of maintenance across a portfolio of industrial refrigeration sites.

With more than four decades of experience in the sector, the business works with customers across food manufacturing, cold storage, distribution and industrial environments. Continued expansion has created the need for an experienced individual to strengthen the existing service operation.

This could be an ideal move for an experienced Maintenance Manager, or a Senior Engineer / Supervisor ready to take the next step into management.

What You'll Be Doing:

Reporting into the Service Manager, you will have a hands-on role in keeping maintenance contracts running effectively. You'll coordinate engineers, manage workloads and act as a key point of contact for customers.

The position combines operational management with commercial responsibility, so you'll need to ensure maintenance work is completed to a high standard while keeping contracts organised, compliant and commercially viable.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and allocating both scheduled and reactive maintenance activities
• Coordinating engineers across industrial refrigeration contracts
• Ensuring contractual, compliance and service requirements are consistently met
• Visiting customer sites and developing effective client relationships
• Reviewing contract performance and assisting with cost and margin control
• Maintaining accurate service records, reports and associated documentation
• Providing direction and support to engineers and the wider service team
• Working closely with the Service Manager to improve service delivery

What We're Looking For:

You'll need a solid background in industrial refrigeration and an understanding of the demands involved in maintaining large-scale refrigeration plant.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong industrial refrigeration experience – essential
• Good knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and large industrial systems
• Previous involvement with maintenance contracts and compliance
• Experience as a Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, Senior Engineer or similar
• The ability to organise workloads and manage competing priorities
• Confidence dealing directly with customers
• A commercially minded approach to contract delivery
