Senior Buyer - Home Appliances

We’re partnering with a fast‑growing consumer goods business to recruit a Senior Buyer to lead Buying and Product Development across a key category within their portfolio. This role will focus on shaping and sourcing innovative products within consumer electronics, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in domestic appliances. The position offers a blend of office and home working, with around three days per week spent in their West Midlands headquarters.

About the job

You will take ownership of the end‑to‑end Buying and product lifecycle, from concept and sourcing through to launch and ongoing commercial performance. This includes identifying market opportunities, developing compelling product ranges, managing supplier relationships and driving category growth. You’ll work closely with international manufacturing partners, collaborating on specifications, costs, lead times and quality improvements. Cross‑functional working is key, partnering with Product Development, Quality, Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain to ensure successful launches and strong commercial outcomes.

About the person

You’ll bring solid Buying experience from consumer electronics, MDA, SDA or related categories, with a proven track record of developing products from concept to market. Experience sourcing directly from Far East factories is essential, along with strong commercial judgement, negotiation capability and supplier relationship management. You’ll be confident managing multiple projects, influencing stakeholders and shaping category strategy. Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior team members would be advantageous.
