PORT OPERATIVE TEAM LEADER

FLT DRIVER PAY RATE: £13.50 SHIFT: Monday -Friday 7am -4pm LOCATION: Barrow-upon-Humber TEMP-PERM We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to oversee warehouse and dockside operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in FLT B1 operations, stevedoring, and warehouse logistics, who can lead a team in a fast-paced port environment. JOB ROLE Lead and supervise a team across warehouse and dockside operations Oversee loading and unloading of vessels (stevedoring duties) Ensure safe and efficient cargo handling and movement Operate FLT (B1 Counterbalance) and other MHE when required Manage goods in/out, stock control, and dispatch activities Monitor and drive team performance and productivity (KPIs) Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations Conduct briefings, training, and mentoring of staff Liaise with port operations, transport, and management teams Support continuous improvement within warehouse and dock processes REQUIREMENTS Valid FLT B1 (Counterbalance) licence Proven experience in stevedoring / dockside operations Previous Team Leader or Supervisory experience Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics processes Excellent knowledge of health & safety in a port/industrial environment Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding role Strong communication and leadership skills Stafforce is a UK leading employer across the UK Ports offering both entry level opportunity and career progression within Ports & Shipping.
