The Role – Nursery Nurse
We are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Nurse to join a welcoming early years setting based in Hackney.
As a Nursery Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting the learning, development, and care of children aged 0–5 within a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You will play a key role in helping children develop their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills through structured play, early learning activities, and positive interaction.
Daily responsibilities will include supporting the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities, assisting with personal care routines, encouraging early communication and language development, and ensuring all children are engaged and supported in line with EYFS standards.
The ideal Nursery Nurse will be warm, patient, and proactive, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff. A strong understanding of safeguarding and child development is essential.
Requirements – Nursery Nurse
* Level 3 Qualification in Childcare / Early Years (essential)
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
* Minimum 1 year of nursery or early years experience (essential)
* Strong understanding of EYFS framework
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Ability to support personal care routines where required
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Passion for early years education and child development
