The Opportunity
Join a recognised team dedicated to improving our quality and customer satisfaction within Product Engineering. You will be a leader within the Quality Attribute Team, responsible for new model launch quality standards in support of the corporate scorecard. Covering, but not limited to, the vehicle attributes of Solidity & Refinement, Equivalent Body Hole Size and Water Ingress. You will be responsible for leading the Attribute Quality Team’s response to the relevant QOS deliverables and Integrated Test Plan, whilst also leading the team in root cause analysis and resolution implementation. This is an opportunity which provides great exposure for a driven individual, working across multiple stakeholders and presenting at an Executive level.
You will join at an exciting time whilst we embark on transforming Attribute Quality. You will be actively encouraged to lead the introduction of new opportunities that will both increase quality of our vehicles and efficiency of our processes.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• The key point of contact for vehicle launch quality within the Engineering Quality Function
• Leading a timely response to launch issues ensuring that response time targets are achieved
• Leading the input into LMM/NMLR decks, generating reports and presenting status in senior forums
• Leading root cause analysis during issue investigations and ensuring robust solutions
• Identify and lead opportunities to deliver solutions that improve our operating efficiency and quality
• Leading vigorous prevent reoccurrence actions for all identified failure modes affecting owned attributes.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
• Experience as a leader within an engineering function
• Experience of leading problem solving and failure mode avoidance
• Ability to interface and communicate confidently at all levels
• Strong & demonstratable project management skills
• Strong stakeholder leadership, management and influencing skills
• Well organised, methodical, exhaustive and structured
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills providing the ability to represent the team at senior meetings
• Extensive experience of using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Desirable:
• Natural ability to identify improvement opportunities
• Drive and motivation to achieve goals of team and self, across multiple locations
• Strong understanding of people and emotional intelligence is a plus
• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Willingness to adapt in a fast moving, exciting and evolving environment
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Experience of using JIRA and Lucidspark for implementation of Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
