SEMH Teacher - Specialist School 📍 Manchester / Greater Manchester 📅 Full Time | Temp to Long Term | Term Time Only 💷 £150 - £250 per day (depending on experience) We are currently seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting in the Manchester area supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding role for someone who thrives in a challenging but highly impactful environment. You will be working with pupils who may present with anxiety, trauma, behavioural needs and disengagement from education, helping them to re-engage with learning in a structured and supportive way. The role will involve: Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons for pupils with SEMH needs Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies Building strong, trusting relationships to promote engagement and progress Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs Working closely with pastoral staff, SENCOs and external professionals Creating a safe, consistent and nurturing classroom environmentWhat we're looking for: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong experience teaching SEMH pupils Experience working with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills A calm, consistent and resilient teaching approach Passion for supporting vulnerable learners and improving outcomes Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred - or happy to pay for a new DBS if requiredThis is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a specialist environment where every day matters.
