Clerk of Works

We are proud to be partnering with a multi-disciplinary specialist construction consultancy, who are looking to appoint a Clerk of Works on a permanent contract.

This will be a full-time position based in London, with a salary of £48,000 - £52,000.

The ideal candidate will be a member of ICWCI and have experience with residential new build & recladding projects.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Ensuring that the quality of both materials and workmanship are in accordance with the design information such as specification, drawings and quality standards
• Confirming that the inspections are performed in a manner that confirms the reported results
• Studying the contract drawings and schedules, and information produced by consultants and specialists
• Establishing lines of communication with the project Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveyor, architect, the contractor’s site supervisory or project manager
• Studying the Health and Safety Plan for the project, British Standards and Approved Codes of Conduct
• Using a tablet to record reports, while on daily site visits

Experience required:

• ICWCI membership – desirable
• Residential projects (Preferably on Local Authority / Housing Association projects)
