A leading roofing materials supplier based in Surbiton is looking to recruit a reliable and experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse & Yard Operative to join their busy team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business supplying roofing products to trade and commercial customers throughout the local area.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 7:30am 4:30pm
Saturday: 7:30am 10:30am
Key Responsibilities:
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse and yard.
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
Picking, packing and preparing customer orders.
Moving, stacking and storing roofing materials and stock.
Assisting customers collecting goods from the branch.
Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, tidy and organised.
Conducting daily forklift and equipment safety checks.
Following all health and safety procedures.
Supporting colleagues with general warehouse and yard duties as required.
Requirements:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience within a warehouse, builders merchant, roofing, construction or yard environment.
Good understanding of health and safety practices.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, hardworking and customer-focused attitude.
Physically fit and comfortable handling building materials.
