Maths Teacher - SEN/SEMH Provision Newcastle upon Tyne Full Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm We are seeking a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher to join a dedicated SEN/SEMH provision in Newcastle. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional social, emotional and mental health support. The successful candidate will be committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment, building strong relationships with students, and supporting them to achieve both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to students with SEN/SEMH needs Support students in overcoming barriers to learning Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Work collaboratively with support staff, parents and external agencies Maintain high expectations for attendance, behaviour and achievementRequirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential Experience working within SEN, SEMH or alternative provision settings is desirable Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach A commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young peopleSafeguarding Requirements: An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service is required Applicants without one must be willing to obtain a new enhanced DBS prior to employmentIf you are passionate about supporting young people and want to be part of a supportive and rewarding environment, we would love to hear from you.
