CNC Machinist

Location: Southampton Job Type: Temporary (minimum 6 months) Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00 Pay: Up to £19.50 per hour (depending on experience) Overview Our client, a well‑established and forward‑thinking manufacturing company, is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join their team initially for 6-months but with the possibility of extension. This is a key role within the business, supporting the production of high‑quality components in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Set and operate Mazak Integrex CNC machine tools Load, prove, and run CNC programs accurately Set cutting tools and establish tool and workpiece datums Monitor tool condition and carry out basic tool maintenance as required Perform self‑inspection of finished components against engineering drawings and customer specifications Requirements Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines Strong knowledge of Mazak / Mazatrol controls Confident interpreting engineering drawings and planning layouts High attention to detail with the ability to carry out self‑inspection Proactive approach to problem‑solving, tooling, and machine care What's on Offer Opportunity to work with an industry‑leading manufacturer Consistent daytime hours with a supportive team environment Eligibility Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be EU or British nationals.
