A leading infrastructure and engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Head of HSE to provide leadership across regional operations.

This role will focus on driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSE management systems, and supporting continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities of Head of HSE: Lead, manage, and support regional HSE teams, providing clear direction and technical guidance.
Champion HSE strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and legal requirements.
Oversee HSE performance, including reporting, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as the key HSE representative.
Promote occupational health, wellbeing, and a positive safety culture across all operations.
Ensure effective incident management, including investigations, root cause analysis, and lessons learned.
Support the development and maintenance of HSE systems, procedures, and training programmes.
Conduct site visits and leadership audits to ensure standards are consistently met.
Requirements for Head of HSE: NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) as a minimum; IOSH membership desirable.
Environmental qualification such as CEnv or equivalent (ISEP affiliation advantageous).
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and management systems within infrastructure or engineering environments.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to develop and mentor high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
CSCS Safety Professional card.
Desirable Experience within civil engineering or major infrastructure sectors (e.g.

Kelvin TOP-SET or equivalent).
