Cover Supervisor

Cover Supervisor – Birley Academy, Sheffield The Supply Register is working in partnership with Birley Academy to recruit a Cover Supervisor to support the school with high-quality, flexible staffing. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who is confident leading a classroom and supporting learning in the absence of the class teacher. The role includes: • Supervising whole classes during teacher absence • Delivering pre-set lesson materials • Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment • Supporting students to stay focused and engaged • Managing behaviour in line with school policies • Providing feedback on pupil progress and behaviour We’re looking for candidates who: • Have experience working with secondary-aged students • Are confident with classroom and behaviour management • Communicate effectively and professionally • Understand safeguarding responsibilities • Hold high expectations for student behaviour and learning • Hold (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Why apply? • Weekly pay every Friday • Competitive pay rates • Ongoing training and development opportunities • Supportive school and recruitment environment • Valuable experience in a secondary school setting • Pension scheme options Interested?
