Location: East London
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Up to £49,000 per year , depending on experience and qualifications
About the Role
A leading private healthcare provider is looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to join the Operations team at a busy acute hospital in East London.
This role is ideal for a qualified mechanical or electrical engineer with supervisory experience who is confident managing maintenance operations in a critical environment where safety, reliability, and compliance are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Maintenance
Manage all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
Respond promptly to building and equipment faults to minimise disruption.
Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and in accordance with internal procedures.
Team Leadership
Provide day-to-day supervision of engineering staff.
Allocate workloads and monitor performance.
Identify training needs and maintain competency standards.
Promote a positive, safety-focused working culture.
Essential Requirements
Mechanical Or Electrical Qualifications Fully Qualified in either field
Valid CSCS or ECS card (where applicable)
Strong background in building services or facilities maintenance
Experience leading or supervising engineering teams
