Senior Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the delivery of a significant civil engineering scheme comprising major highways works, structures, drainage, earthworks and a complex viaduct crossing. The project is in its early stages, offering the successful candidate the chance to play a key role throughout delivery while developing their career within a forward-thinking and well-established contractor. The project includes a new highway, a substantial viaduct, drainage infrastructure, environmental works and associated junction improvements. The Role As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of key work packages throughout the construction phase. Responsibilities will include: * Managing engineering activities across allocated work packages * Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and task briefings * Managing subcontractors and site engineers * Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification * Liaising with site management, commercial teams and design teams * Maintaining accurate site records and quality documentation * Providing technical support and resolving engineering challenges on site * Assisting with planning and short-term programming activities * Mentoring and developing junior engineers Requirements We would like to hear from candidates with: * Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, Section Engineer or experienced Site Engineer * Strong civil engineering background * Experience delivering highways, structures, bridges, viaducts, earthworks or infrastructure projects * Ability to manage engineering teams and subcontractors * Good understanding of quality assurance and health & safety processes * HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline * CSCS Card Desirable: * SMSTS * Temporary Works knowledge * Major project or Tier 1 contractor experience What's on Offer? * Competitive basic salary * Car allowance * Annual bonus * Pension scheme * Private healthcare * Long-term project security * Genuine career progression opportunities * Exposure to complex infrastructure and structures works * Opportunity to work on a flagship regional scheme
