Location: London once a week and happy to travel to client sites

Salary: £80,000 per annum + up to 50% OTE bonus

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager within the Defence industry (Navy specifically) to lead the growth, strategy, and delivery oversight of a key Royal Navy account. This role combines business development, senior stakeholder engagement, and account governance to drive long-term value and expand strategic partnerships.


Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Growth & Pipeline

  • Own account growth targets and develop a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within Navy Command
  • Lead bids, renewals, and framework call-offs (e.g. G-Cloud, DOS)
  • Deliver a 12–24 month account strategy aligned to procurement cycles

Strategic Relationships

  • Build trusted relationships with senior Royal Navy and civilian stakeholders (1*–2*)
  • Act as the primary escalation point and client advocate
  • Track Defence policy and strategy to identify new opportunities

Governance & Delivery Assurance

  • Ensure delivery drives measurable operational value, not just KPIs
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and reputational risks



Experience & Skills:

Defence Expertise

  • Strong experience with the UK Ministry of Defence, ideally the Royal Navy
  • Deep understanding of Defence procurement and digital delivery challenges

Account Growth

  • Proven success growing strategic accounts in consulting or professional services
  • Skilled in solution selling and managing complex pipelines

Strategic Influence

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior leaders
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and storytelling skills

Personal Attributes

  • Patient and persistent in long sales cycles
  • Collaborative and aligned with delivery teams
