Personal Assistant to Director
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Hybrid: 3 days on site per week

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to support the Managing Director within a fast-paced retail environment. This role is central to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Retail Team, acting as a trusted point of contact and enabling the MD to focus on strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Managing Director, ensuring all internal and external communications are managed effectively and professionally.
- Oversee complex diary management, coordinating meetings, travel, and schedules to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Prepare and organise meeting materials, reports, presentations, and briefing documents to ensure the MD is fully prepared for all engagements.
- Exercise sound judgement in handling enquiries, prioritising tasks, and determining appropriate actions in line with business needs.
- Maintain awareness of key business activities and departmental priorities to support effective decision-making and communication.
- Arrange and coordinate internal and external meetings, including Senior Leadership and departmental sessions.
- Manage expense claims and administrative processes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in organising team events, offsites, and engagement activities.
Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities to tight deadlines.
- Proactive, adaptable, and quick to learn new systems and processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience managing complex schedules and coordinating meetings.
- Solid understanding of administrative processes within a corporate environment.
- Minimum of two years’ administrative experience in an office setting.
