12-month contract role, up to £20.00 per hour (Inside IR35 basis).
Role would suit somebody with experience of working within a Vehicle Technician, Test Technician, Workshop Technician, Mechanical Technician, Electrical Technician or similar engineering role.
This Vehicle Technician role supports the delivery of automotive R&D test programmes, through the preparation, set-up and operation of test facilities, equipment and instrumentation within a busy, test engineering environment.
Your background as a Vehicle Technician:
Level 3 qualification in a relevant motor vehicle or engineering discipline
Previous experience working in a test, workshop, mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering environment.
Be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
You will have a general hands-on mechanical / electrical aptitude, careful working style, and a strong safety mindset.
Be able to use Microsoft Office IT systems competently.
A full UK Driving licence is required.
Vehicle Technician responsibilities:
Prepare vehicles, vehicle components, and test rigs for tests.
Fit instrumentation to vehicles and components and set up test equipment.
Handle test data for Engineers to review.
Maintain a safe and organised work area.
