Financial Controller – Maternity Cover

Responsibilities

• Manage plant financial performance
• Full analysis and advice on financial impact of management decisions
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Implementing systems and reporting practices that support best practice governance and control environments
• Review and manage the plant expense structure
• Identify and lead cost savings initiatives
• Review and validate plant monthly financial results
• Perform month-end closing for operations and cost transactions
• Analyze cost drivers and prepare monthly variance reports
• Provide analysis and advice to management on plant financial performance
• Lead preparation and review of annual budget
• Cooperate closely with UK Financial Controller
• Establish and maintain systems over inventory and plant fixed assets
• Manage capital investment projects financial assessment and payback criteria

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading and managing professional teams
• Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
• Excellent working knowledge and application of ERP (including SAP) and Excel
• Extensive experience of implementation and development of finance systems, controls and processes
• Qualified CIMA (preferred) or ACCA/ACA
• Experience working for a global manufacturing company in a matrix working environment
