Job Title: Through Life Support Specialist (Edgewing) The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems Air site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. You’ll be responsible for supporting the definition and development of Supportability requiring proficient level of engineering leadership and technical capability. Support the development of the overall approach to exerting Supportability design influence across the GCAP, working across the programme to ensure that Supportability outcomes are duly considered, appropriately prioritised and deliver the necessary 6th Generation Supportability characteristics Support the definition of the primary activities necessary throughout the full product life cycle, & ensure that that technical requirements are appropriately designed, developed, delivered & integrated in line with GCAP Architecture and Engineering policies Establish and maintain the engineering governance, frameworks, plans and processes required to undertake Design Influence & Supportability engineering and analysis within the Edgewing organisation in accordance with relevant international standards. Support the identification, development and derivation of Customer requirements regarding Supportability Plan, manage and review engineering activities to ensure integrated, compliant, safe delivery of work packages, achieving cost, quality and schedule objectives while supporting Design for Support activities, associated schedules, Statements of Work (SoW) and DAREO requirements Knowledge and experience in scheduling, planning and risk management activities Hold Bachelor’ Degree in STEM discipline (preferably in aeronautics / aerospace or related field) or appropriate equivalent experience / qualifications By joining Edgewing, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the company from the ground up — setting the foundations for generations to come, influencing how we work, and helping us build something world-class together.
