Family-run company is currently seeking a Vehicle Technician with extensive experience of vehicle maintenance, repair and mechanical diagnostics to join our team. We need a fully qualified Automotive Technician with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a busy environment.

We can offer suitable candidates the opportunity to maintain / acheive MOT qualification should they wish.

Our diagnostic equipment (VASS, Erwin & BMW Ista) means we can undertake complex diagnostic work, particularly on BMW and Volkswagen Group vehicles.Candidates with recent experience of using these will be offered the top end of salary range.

However if you are a general repair mechanic who has less diagnostic experience, with a genuine interest in working with a skilled team who take a pride in their job, we would still encourage you to apply.

Apprentices due to gain IMI diploma or equivalent Level 3 automotive engineer qualificationn *this summer *will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot issues and replace faulty vehicle parts.
* Maintain & service customers' cars
* Communicate clearly & discuss repairs / potential safety issues with customers
* Plan own work including ordering parts / checking completed jobs
* Share knowledge & ideas with other technicians
* Willingness to undertake off-site training to update / develop skills
