job description.Electrical Project Manager Location: Milton KeynesSalary: 65,000 - 70,000 per annum packageSector: Electrical Building Services / M&E / Commercial ConstructionEmployment: Permanent The Role We are working with an established building services contractor delivering electrical and M&E solutions across the commercial construction sector in Milyon Keynes. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take full ownership of electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover. The successful candidate will have a strong electrical building services background and proven experience delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment and design & build projects. You will manage electrical subcontractors, engineers, supervisors, suppliers, consultants and clients, taking responsibility for programme, procurement, commercial control, quality and overall project delivery. Key ResponsibilitiesTake full ownership of electrical projects from pre-construction through to practical completion and handoverManage the complete electrical project lifecycle including design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handoverCoordinate electrical subcontractors, engineers, supervisors and site teamsDevelop and manage project programmes and delivery milestonesCoordinate electrical design and ensure buildability and technical complianceManage procurement of electrical equipment, materials and subcontract packagesMonitor project budgets, costs, valuations, variations and financial performanceIdentify and manage commercial and programme risksLiaise directly with clients, consultants, main contractors and project stakeholdersChair and attend progress, design, technical and subcontractor meetingsManage RFIs, technical queries, design changes and project documentationEnsure electrical installations comply with drawings, specifications and relevant UK standardsCoordinate electrical works with mechanical, architectural, structural and other building services packagesOversee testing, commissioning, snagging and handoverMonitor subcontractor performance, quality and programmeEnsure RAMS, permits and site documentation are maintainedMaintain high standards of health & safety and CDM complianceProvide regular project progress and commercial reportingSupport forecasting, cost/value reporting and project financial controlResolve technical and delivery issues proactivelyEnsure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality and profitability standardsTypical Project Experience Experience across some or all of the following would be highly relevant:Commercial office fit-outCAT A / CAT B refurbishmentDesign & build projectsCommercial refurbishmentLandlord and tenant worksElectrical infrastructure upgradesLV distributionSmall powerLighting and emergency lightingContainmentFire alarmData / structured cablingSecurity systemsAccess controlUPS / standby powerBMS / controls interfacesTesting and commissioningRequirementsProven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within electrical contracting/building services/M&EStrong electrical building services backgroundDemonstrable experience delivering commercial fit-out and refurbishment projectsExperience working on design & build schemesStrong understanding of electrical installation and project deliveryExperience managing electrical subcontractors and site teamsStrong programme, procurement and project management skillsCommercial awareness with experience managing budgets, variations and cost controlStrong client and stakeholder management skillsGood understanding of UK electrical standards, construction practices, H&S and CDMSMSTSCSCS/ECSElectrical qualification such as HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent experience would be advantageousCommercial construction experience preferredPackage65,000 - 70,000 basic salaryPackage / benefitsLong-term project pipelineOpportunity to progress within a growing contractor location.Milton Keynessalary. 65000 - 70000 per annum GBP type.Permanent
