Fabric Print Repair & Inspection Operative 📍 Location: South London 🕐 Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm 💷 Pay: £12.71–£13.50 per hour 📅 Start: ASAP 📌 Position: Ongoing Strive Staffing Solutions are looking for a Fabric Print Repair & Inspection Operative to join a busy production environment in South London. This is an ongoing position starting ASAP, offering a great opportunity for someone with excellent attention to detail, a creative/artistic eye and experience working with paints, pens or fine-detail retouching. The Role You will be responsible for inspecting and repairing printed fabrics to the required quality standards. Duties will include: * Loading and unloading rolls of fabric to and from inspection tables. * Inspecting fabric and carrying out repairs to printed designs where required. * Using fine paint brushes or pens to carefully restore missing or damaged print. * Blowing out excess print and cleaning unwanted marks. * Using solvents safely and responsibly in controlled conditions, following all health & safety procedures and wearing the required PPE. * Recording repairs and approvals accurately on job sheets and daily repair records. * Preparing and packaging fabrics for despatch when required. * Keeping tools clean, safe and in good working condition. * Maintaining a clean and tidy inspection area. * Supporting other departments when required. About You The ideal candidate will have: * Proven artistic ability and confidence using paints and pens, particularly for fine-detail work. * Ideally, at least 1 year’s experience in fabric print touch-up/retouching. * Ideally, at least 1 year’s production experience within a busy working environment. * Knowledge of safe handling techniques is preferred. * A strong eye for colour, detail and quality. * A steady hand and a fine touch for retouching. * A patient, focused and organised approach. * Excellent teamwork skills. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * The ability to work effectively under pressure — and a good sense of humour! Physical Requirements You must be physically able to lift and carry up to 25kg and be comfortable standing for much of the working day. This is an ongoing opportunity starting ASAP.
