Freelance Site Manager

Location: Little Braxted, Essex Rate: £280 – £310 per day (DOE) Duration: 16 weeks Start: 3-4 weeks We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a standalone commercial dilapidation project in Little Braxted, Essex. This will be working on behalf of a main contractor. This is an £800k project involving the full strip-out, demolition and dilapidation works of an existing commercial unit. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme. Responsibilities * Managing all site operations from start to completion * Coordinating subcontractors and site labour * Ensuring health & safety compliance and maintaining site standards * Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings * Monitoring programme and reporting progress to the Contracts Manager * Managing site documentation including RAMS, permits and site records * Liaising with clients, consultants and stakeholders as required * Overseeing strip-out, demolition and enabling works activities * Managing site logistics and material deliveries * Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the project Requirements * Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial refurbishment, demolition, strip-out or dilapidation projects * SMSTS * First Aid at Work * CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred) * Strong health & safety knowledge * Ability to manage a site independently with minimal supervision * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Experience delivering projects in the £500k–£2m range desirable What's on Offer * £280–£310 per day depending on experience * Opportunity to manage a standalone project from inception to completion
