Damp & Timber Surveyor – CSRT / CSSW 📍 Location: Watford 💷 Salary: Competitive 🚗 Company Vehicle Provided 📋 Permanent Position We are currently recruiting for an experienced Damp & Timber Surveyor to join an established property preservation business. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out detailed residential and commercial property surveys, diagnosing damp and timber-related issues, and providing clear, professional recommendations for remedial works. The Role Carry out thorough surveys of residential and commercial properties. Identify and diagnose damp, timber decay and associated property defects. Assess waterproofing and below-ground damp issues where appropriate.Prepare accurate survey reports and remedial recommendations. Provide customers with professional, honest and practical advice. Recommend appropriate remedial treatments and solutions. Build strong relationships with customers and deliver an excellent customer experience. Liaise closely with office teams and site operatives. Keep up to date with relevant industry standards, legislation and best practice. Maintain a high level of technical knowledge. Represent the business professionally at all times. Manage your own workload and appointments effectively. Skills & Qualifications Essential: 🎓 CSRT – Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatment 🎓 CSSW – Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing 🚗 Full UK driving licence ⭐ Proven experience within damp, timber treatment and property preservation ⭐ Strong technical knowledge of damp and timber-related defects ⭐ Excellent customer service and communication skills ⭐ Strong attention to detail ⭐ Ability to work independently and manage your own workload ⭐ Professional, trustworthy and customer-focused approach The Ideal Candidate We are looking for an experienced surveyor who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and understands the importance of excellent customer service. You will be confident identifying property defects and explaining technical issues and recommended solutions clearly to customers.
