Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Aerospace - Outside IR35 Contract, Hybrid (Gloucestershire) £depending on experience / expectations Aerospace, Mechanical Design, Siemsn, NX, Solidworks, Team Centre PLM Leading aerospace company are seeking Senior Mechanical Engineer to support expanding project aligned to aerospace, high power electricals and adjoining electronics casings, fluid systems networks and piping & engine systems. Experience: Circa 7 - 20+ years in Mechanical Design, with extensive / highly relevant aerospace industry exposure. Tasks * Own CAD design and associated data for assigned components and assemblies * 3D CAD models and high-quality 2D production drawings * PLM Management * Apply knowledge of GD&T, materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, as well as and stress analysis * Lead and participate in design reviews Key Skills * Expert user of 3D CAD (Siemens NX strongly preferred) and experience with Teamcenter PLM or similar systems. * Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME standards) and capability to create complex, aerospace-grade CAD models and mechanical drawings. * Understanding of stress analysis principles, materials, finishes, and relevant manufacturing processes. Desirable Skills * Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing. * Capability to conduct thermal, fluid, or complex mechanical simulations.
