About the role
Guidant Global is partnering with Airbus to recruit a Data Management Engineer to support key data management activities within the Landing Gear (LG) domain. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact data improvement and governance initiatives within a complex, large-scale engineering environment.
You'll play a key role in ensuring data is well-controlled, accessible, and fit for purpose-supporting both operational excellence and long-term data governance.
This role suits someone who enjoys working autonomously, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and making tangible improvements to how data is managed and used.
What you'll be doing
As a Data Management Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting data management implementation within the Landing Gear domain, including network-attached data containment
Contributing to data improvement initiatives, such as enhancing site pages, documentation, and data structures
Ensuring effective control, governance, and management of data produced across LG operational areas
Supporting the preparation of data governance guidelines and related communication materials
Working with multiple stakeholders, providing support and guidance where required
Applying a proactive and flexible approach to managing tasks and priorities autonomously

Essential skills and experience:
Strong experience using Windows command line and scripting (autonomous level)
Basic data analytics and reporting capability
Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders
Ability to work independently with an agile and flexible approach
Solid general IT skills with a willingness to support others
Desirable (but not essential):
Knowledge of data management processes
Business data modelling skills
Python programming experience
Experience with Google Workspace and Google Sites management
