Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be joining a well-established manufacturing business operating within a bulk processing environment.
This is a site-based role supporting continuous production through a mix of reactive and planned maintenance. The site is mechanically biased, with most faults relating to wear components and material handling systems.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a stable, long-term role within a close-knit engineering team, where the focus is on keeping plant running efficiently rather than high-speed automation.

Experience working within a manufacturing / processing / industrial environment
Engineering Qualification
Commutable to site
Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias
Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
Ability to diagnose faults and repair plant equipment independently
Comfortable working on bulk handling / processing equipment
Able to PLC fault find
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance across site machinery (majority reactive)
Ensuring plant and machinery operate efficiently to minimise downtime
Diagnosing and repairing faults across mechanical and electrical systems
Completing routine inspections and site walkarounds (safety, leaks, general condition)
Working on components such as beater bars, bearings, chains, belts, sprockets and alignments
Supporting production by maintaining equipment availability
Participating in the on-call rota and responding to breakdowns where required
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work on:
Silos & storage bins
Screw, bucket and belt conveyors
Hammer mills and pellet mills
Mixers and blending equipment
Automated batching and dosing systems
Weigh scales / load cells
Bagging and bulk loading systems
Palletising equipment
Dust extraction systems
Compressed air systems
Motors, drives, sensors and basic PLC systems
