We are seeking a dedicated, proactive and compassionate Deputy Service Manager to support the delivery of high-quality care services in the community.

Position: Deputy Service Manager
Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 per annum
Location: Windsor, Berkshire
Hours: Full time, permanent

About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role supporting the delivery of care to children and adults with learning disabilities, complex health needs, and elderly and frail individuals in their own homes and within the community.

You will work closely with the Service Manager and Registered Nurse to lead and support a team of carers, ensuring safe, person-centred and dignified care at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting compliance to maintain a Good or Outstanding CQC rating
  • Managing audits, safeguarding processes and health and safety requirements
  • Leading, supervising and supporting care staff both in the office and in the field
  • Completing supervisions and annual appraisals alongside the HR function
  • Conducting initial assessments for new clients
  • Building strong relationships with local authorities, health professionals and families
  • Reviewing care plans and carrying out spot checks to ensure high standards
  • Participating in the on-call rota, holding the emergency phone approximately once a month

About You
You will be an experienced care professional with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or working towards
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the care sector
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Strong understanding of domiciliary care and community-based support
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
