Third Party Motor Claims Handler (TPPD) | Bolton | £27,479 – £35,000 Location: Bolton, BL7 (on site) Type: Permanent — full-time Hours: 35 hours per week — Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Flexible/hybrid working patterns available. Salary: £27,479 – £35,000 dependent on experience Signed off 17th Sep-26. Recruiting due to internal promotions and expansion Key Responsibilities * Handle third-party vehicle and property damage claims: manage all aspects including investigation, negotiation and resolution. * Investigate liability: work with other departments and conduct own investigations to determine fault and liability. * Manage complex files: more advanced cases including high-value claims and those with liability disputes. * Work with credit hire claims: assess and manage credit hire aspects including validation, negotiation, and challenge of excessive hire charges. * Liaise with external parties: solicitors, insurers and accident management companies. * Identify fraud: recognise and escalate potentially fraudulent activity for further review. * Prioritise workload and team duties: organise own caseload while supporting wider team responsibilities. * Provide excellent service: consistently high standard with all parties to the claim. Candidate Profile * Motor claims experience required. * Third party or credit hire experience strongly preferred. * Excellent customer service and computer skills — confident across multiple systems. * Active listening and relationship building. * High attention to detail and sound judgement on liability. * Holds or willing to work towards the CII Certificate — fully funded and supported. * GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
