Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager or Maintenance Supervisor from an industrial process, power generation, biomass, Energy-from-Waste, chemical or heavy manufacturing background?
We're recruiting a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at a major energy facility in Birmingham.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for maintenance strategy, plant reliability, CMMS, outages, contractors, budgets and the development of a multidisciplinary engineering team .

The role You'll be responsible for:
Leading and developing a team across mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled maintenance
Owning the site CMMS, PPM and maintenance backlog
Prioritising maintenance activity with Operations based on plant risk and criticality
Coordinating breakdown response and safe return to service
Planning and delivering outages
Investigating recurring failures and driving root cause and reliability improvements
Managing contractors, work quality and compliance
Controlling maintenance spend, procurement and critical spares
Managing statutory inspections including PSSR, LOLER and COSHH
Ensuring work follows approved Permit-to-Work and isolation procedures
Supporting plant availability and long-term asset performance

You'll be working across plant including:
Boilers | Steam systems | Turbines | Generators | Gasification / combustion systems | Conveyors | Pumps | Valves | Water treatment | Flue gas abatement | Motors | Instrumentation | Electrical distribution

What we're looking for You'll ideally have:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Team Leader
Experience within an industrial process environment
Strong mechanical and electrical xwzovoh maintenance knowledge
Experience of CMMS, PPM, backlog management and maintenance planning
Outage planning and contractor management experience
Strong fault-finding and root cause investigation capability
Experience managing maintenance budgets, procurement and spares
Strong leadership, coaching and team-development skills
A relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent technical experience

Experience within Energy from Waste, power generation, biomass or a similar process plant would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other complex industrial environments will also be considered.
