Registered Children’s Home Manager Location: Romford, Essex Salary: £50,000–£60,000, depending on experience Service: 3-bed EBD children’s home, rated Good Hours: 40 hours per week Contract: Permanent, full-time JP Healthcare Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead an established 3-bed EBD home in Romford, currently rated Good. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective operation of the home, ensuring young people receive high-quality emotional and physical care within a safe, supportive and structured environment. You will provide strong leadership to the staff team, maintain compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and work closely with the Responsible Individual to continue developing the service. Key responsibilities * Manage the day-to-day running of the home * Lead, supervise and develop the staff team * Maintain excellent safeguarding and care standards * Ensure policies, procedures and regulations are followed * Oversee recruitment, induction, training and appraisals * Manage rotas, staffing resources and out-of-hours support * Monitor quality, performance and service development * Manage budgets and resources effectively * Build strong relationships with families and external agencies Requirements * Previous management experience within children’s residential care * Experience working with children and young people with EBD needs * Strong safeguarding and Ofsted knowledge * Experience supervising and developing residential care staff * Confident leadership and decision-making skills * Excellent written and verbal communication * Ability to participate in a management on-call rota * Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people Package * £50,000–£60,000, depending on experience * Established 3-bed EBD service rated Good * Permanent, full-time position * 40-hour working week * Supportive senior management structure An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references will be required
