Vantage Education Partners are delighted to be supporting an OFSTED Outstanding Secondary School and Sixth Form in East London in the recruitment of a dedicated and highly professional Sixth Form Study Centre Supervisor.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting high-achieving sixth form students as they develop the independent study skills, self-discipline and academic habits needed to achieve exceptional outcomes and progress to leading universities and career pathways.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Sixth Form Study Centre, ensuring students work within a calm, purposeful and productive learning environment while maintaining the highest standards of behaviour, attendance and engagement.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:

Supervising students within dedicated sixth form study areas
*
Creating and maintaining a focused and productive independent study environment
*
Monitoring attendance, punctuality and engagement during study sessions
*
Supporting students in developing effective study, revision and organisational skills
*
Providing guidance on time management, independent learning and academic habits
*
Monitoring student conduct and applying school expectations consistently and fairly
*
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to student progress reviews
*
Working closely with Sixth Form leaders, pastoral teams and teaching staff to support student success
*
Supporting enrichment activities, induction events and wider sixth form initiatives
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys working with young people in a supportive, mentoring capacity.
The Ideal Candidate
Applicants will:
*
Hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with strong literacy and numeracy skills
*
Have experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting
*
Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
*
Have the ability to build positive and professional relationships with students
*
Be confident working independently while contributing positively to a wider team
*
Possess strong behaviour management and pastoral support skills
*
Be highly organised, adaptable and proactive in their approach
Experience supporting post-16 students, mentoring young people or working within a school environment would be advantageous.
