Avaloq Developer

Project descriptionWe are seeking a skilled Avaloq Developer to join our Core Banking Systems team, supporting the configuration, development, and enhancement of our Avaloq platform. This role requires mandatory hands-on experience with the Avaloq CRM module and the Cost and Fees module, and will involve working closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and testing teams to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions across our Banking and Wealth Management business linesResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and configure solutions within the Avaloq CRM module, supporting client relationship management, contact management, and workflow processesDesign, develop, and configure solutions within the Avaloq Cost and Fees module, including fee schedules, billing rules, tariff structures, and cost calculation logicWrite and maintain Avaloq scripts using the Business Rule Framework, PL/1-based scripting, and Script Language (AVQL/ADK as applicable)Translate functional specifications and business requirements into technical designs and working Avaloq configurationsPerform unit testing, support system integration testing (SIT), and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT)Investigate, diagnose, and resolve defects across CRM and Cost and Fees functionality, including production incidentsCollaborate with business analysts and product owners to refine requirements and ensure fit-for-purpose technical solutionsSupport release management activities, including code migration, deployment, and post-release validationProduce clear technical documentation, including design specifications, test scripts, and release notesParticipate in code reviews and adhere to Avaloq development standards and best practicesSupport upgrade and migration projects affecting CRM and Cost and Fees functionalityLiaise with Avaloq vendor support teams where required to resolve platform-level issuesSkillsMust haveRequired Skills & Experience (Mandatory)Proven hands-on development experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite (At least 5+ years of experience)Mandatory, demonstrable experience with the Avaloq CRM module (At least 5+ years of experience)Mandatory, demonstrable experience with the Avaloq Cost and Fees module (fee schedules, billing/tariff configuration, cost calculations)Strong scripting/development experience within Avaloq (Business Rule Framework, Script Language, or equivalent)Solid understanding of core banking and wealth management business processes (client onboarding, relationship management, billing, fee structures)Experience with SQL and relational databases for data analysis, debugging, and reportingExperience working through the full development lifecycle: requirements, design, build, test, deployStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailGood written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across distributed/global teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Relevant Avaloq certifications advantageousNice to haveAvaloq certification(s), particularly in CRM or Cost and Fees modulesExperience with other Avaloq modules (e.g. Front, Wealth, Reporting, Payments)Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environmentsExposure to regulatory-driven change (MiFID II, Consumer Duty, KYC/AML) within a banking or wealth management contextExperience working in a global delivery model spanning UK and India teamsOtherLanguagesEnglish: C2 ProficientSenioritySeniorLondon, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern IrelandReq.
