People Solutions are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Weekend Drivers to join our well-established client based in Garretts Green, Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.

This position is ideal for applicants seeking a role as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shifts:

• Saturday – Days – Early starts
• Sunday – Days – Early starts
• Sunday – Nights – Late starts

Rates of Pay:

• Saturday: £18.50 per hour
• Sunday: £20.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules

Essential Skills:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence
• A minimum of one year's Category CE driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major offences
• A valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph xwzovoh Card
• Good spoken and written English

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience

Training:

• Driver assessment required prior to starting
• Industry-related training and ongoing support
