Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for aProduction Team Leaderto join a busy and well-established fresh produce operation based in Colchester. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, ideal for someone with strong supervisory experience and a commitment to food safety and quality standards.

You will oversee afruit packing line, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, efficiency, and product quality. You will lead by example, motivate your team, and ensure all packing targets and customer requirements are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate packing line staff to ensure an efficient workflow
  • Lead, motivate, and support your team to meet daily packing targets
  • Hands-on packing of fresh produce when required
  • Ensure all orders are accurate and completed on time
  • Monitor and maintain correct and effective packaging of produce
  • Minimise waste of fruit and packaging materials
  • Maintain and continuously improve BRC and food safety standards across the site
  • Ensure full compliance with Food Hygiene, HACCP, Health & Safety, GDPR, Environmental Health, Modern Slavery, and HR policies
  • Train and support team members on packing processes, safety procedures, and operational standards
  • Promote a positive, flexible, and can-do team environment

Requirements

  • PreviousTeam Leader experience within an industrial environment
  • Previous experience working in afood manufacturing environment(essential)
  • Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Must be able to drive
  • Must have the right to work in the UK and hold a valid work visa where applicable

Working Hours

  • Rota xwzovoh basis, working 5 days per week between Monday and Sunday
  • 07:30am 5:00pm
  • Occasional 8:00pm finishes will be required to meet business needs
