We are looking for an experienced and reliable Takeaway Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy Indian takeaway in Ormskirk. The successful candidate will ensure smooth running of the business, maintain high food quality standards, manage staff effectively, and deliver excellent customer service. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management - Oversee daily takeaway operations, including opening and closing
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation Staff Management - Supervise kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Prepare staff rotas and manage attendance
- Train and support new and existing employees Orders & Delivery - Manage incoming orders (phone, online, and walk-in)
- Coordinate with delivery drivers and platforms
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in order fulfilment Customer Service - Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
- Maintain a positive customer experience
- Build customer loyalty and repeat business Stock & Cost Control - Monitor stock levels and order supplies
- Reduce waste and manage food costs
- Ensure efficient use of ingredients Hygiene & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines
- Prepare for inspections and audits Requirements - Previous experience in takeaway or restaurant management
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in busy periods
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine (preferred)
