Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. Responsibilities

Safely operate double deck lorries and other commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in safe working condition.
Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit, adhering to safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Comply with all relevant road safety laws and company policies during every journey.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered en route.
Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including adherence to driving hours legislation and vehicle maintenance schedules.

Requirements

Proven experience as a HGV Class 2 Driver, preferably with delivery driver experience involving flatbed vehicles.
Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV) or lorry licences as required by local regulations.
Strong understanding of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as securing loads on flatbeds safely.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
A clean driving record demonstrating responsible driving behaviour.
