A range of other benefits such aspension, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, life assurance, discount on household consumables and variety of retailers The role As a key worker working in our Healthcare Division, you play a key part in the success of phs.Being an experienced Class 1 Service Driver in our Healthcare division, your responsibilities will include service (collection & disposal) of health-related waste products ranging from Pharmaceutical, Non-Hazardous Waste & Hazardous Clinical (Sharps, Orange Bags etc).

The role is both internal and external facing, with daily interface with depots, customers & suppliers.

You will follow planned routes, using PDA devices to confirm collections and manage any site access issues.

We use in-cab technology but if you can operate a satellite navigation device and a smart phone, you will have no problem with these.

Utilise double deck trailer and tractor unit combinations to complete bin exchanges on site, collecting full and leaving empty bins.

Complete hazardous consignment notes & transfer notes on your PDA.

Utilise 40-foot trailer and tractor unit combinations to transfer waste to tipping sites across the Peterlee Area You will return to your allocated depot every day.

Full, clean Driving licence (LGV Class1) and Digi Tacho holder.

Good driving skills and knowledge of current Road Transport Regulations Driver CPC training would be an advantage, however further training will be provided if needed.

ADR qualified, however further training will be provided if needed.

Essential requirement Full UK Class 1 Driving License for a minimum of 12 months (Subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 6 points.

The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of an enhanced DBS check.
