Electrical Shift Engineer

Shift Technician – £50,000 Location: Central London Salary: £50,000 Shift Pattern: Continental Days & Nights Site: Prestigious Commercial / Banking Environment Position: Permanent The Opportunity We’re recruiting for an experienced Shift Technician to join an established engineering team at a prestigious commercial banking site in Central London. You’ll be working within a modern, technically demanding building, helping to ensure critical building services and plant operate safely and reliably around the clock. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working within a high-profile commercial environment and is looking for a stable shift position offering a £50,000 salary. What You’ll Be Doing * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance * Electrical and mechanical fault finding * Respond to breakdowns and engineering emergencies * Monitor critical plant and building infrastructure * Maintain electrical systems including lighting, power and distribution * Carry out routine checks on HVAC and mechanical plant * Monitor and respond to BMS alarms * Complete regular plant room inspections * Identify potential faults before they develop into larger issues * Support and oversee specialist subcontractors * Complete PPM and reactive tasks through the CAFM system * Ensure the building remains safe, compliant and operational * Work closely with the wider shift team to deliver a high standard of service What We’re Looking For * Electrical or Mechanical qualification – City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent * Previous commercial building maintenance experience * Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Experience working with HVAC and BMS systems * Previous experience working a shift pattern * Experience within banking, critical environments, data centres or large commercial buildings would be advantageous What’s on Offer? * £50,000 salary * Continental days & nights shift pattern * Permanent position * Static Central London site * Prestigious banking environment * Modern, technically demanding building * Established engineering team * Ongoing technical training and development * Long-term career progression If you’re an experienced Shift Technician, Electrical Shift Engineer, Mechanical Shift Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for your next opportunity in Central London, we’d be keen to hear from you
