Interim Cybersecurity Lawyer (6-Month Contract)
London - Hybrid 2 days per week in office, 3 days remote

Our client, a leading global financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Lawyer to join its specialist Cybersecurity Legal team on an initial 6-month basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to work at the forefront of cybersecurity, information security governance, regulatory compliance and emerging technologies within a highly sophisticated and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will support a broad range of cybersecurity legal matters, partnering closely with legal, compliance, risk, technology and information security stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on cybersecurity and information security incidents, including incident prevention, preparedness and response activities.
- Providing legal support on cybersecurity regulatory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitoring and interpreting developments in the cybersecurity legal and regulatory landscape, identifying emerging risks and obligations.
- Delivering legal analysis and guidance on cybersecurity-related legislation, regulations and industry frameworks.
- Supporting information security governance programmes and framework development.
- Participating in cybersecurity simulations, exercises and training initiatives.
- Advising on legal risks associated with emerging technologies, including:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Generative AI
- Agentic AI solutions
- Post-quantum cryptography
About You
Applicants should be qualified lawyers with demonstrable experience advising on cybersecurity, information security and cyber incident response matters.
Key requirements include:
- Experience supporting cyber and information security incident response activities.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity regulatory and legal frameworks.
- Experience advising on regulatory compliance within a complex organisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability and sound legal judgement. xwzovoh

Contract Details
- Initial 6-month contract
- Anticipated start: September 2026
