We’re looking for a Hardware Engineer to join a growing engineering team working on the design, development and testing of electronic hardware.

You don’t need years of experience for this role. We’re much more interested in someone who understands the basics, is hands-on, curious, and isn't afraid to pick up a soldering iron and get stuck into a circuit.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to the full hardware development process, from initial design through to prototyping, testing and troubleshooting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the design and development of electronic hardware
  • Working on electronics and analogue/digital circuits
  • Building and modifying prototypes and test boards
  • Soldering, reworking and assembling electronic components
  • Using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies
  • Carrying out hardware testing, fault-finding and debugging
  • Supporting PCB bring-up and testing
  • Reading schematics and understanding electronic circuits
  • Working with senior engineers to solve technical problems
  • Documenting test results and engineering changes
  • Learning and developing your skills across hardware and power electronics

What We’re Looking For

You don't need a huge amount of professional experience. xwzovoh We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in electronics and a genuine interest in hardware.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or a related discipline to do with Hardware Engineering
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits and components
  • The ability to read and understand basic schematics
  • Experience using basic lab equipment
  • Soldering experience – whether from university, a previous role, personal projects or hobby electronics
  • A practical, hands-on approach to engineering
  • A willingness to learn and develop

Desirable Experience

Any of the following would be useful, but aren't essential:

  • PCB design or layout
  • Altium, KiCad or similar
  • DC/DC converters, inverters or power supplies
  • Analogue electronics
  • Some exposure to power electronics
  • Embedded systems or microcontrollers
  • LTSpice or other circuit simulation tools
  • Personal electronics projects
