Are you an engaging, reflective and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher looking for a new role from September?
Monarch Education are working with secondary schools across Bristol who are looking for passionate Religious Studies Teachers to inspire pupils and support their learning from the start of the new academic year.
The role
As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that encourage pupils to explore beliefs, values, ethics and world views in a respectful and inclusive learning environment. You will support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping them develop critical thinking, discussion skills and a deeper understanding of religion, philosophy and ethics.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Religious Studies Teacher, an early career teacher, or a qualified teacher with a strong humanities, philosophy, ethics or religious education background who is looking for their next role within a supportive secondary school environment.
You will be:
* Planning and delivering engaging Religious Studies lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Encouraging pupils to explore beliefs, values, ethics and world views respectfully
* Creating an inclusive classroom environment that promotes discussion and critical thinking
* Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Supporting pupils of varying abilities and learning needs
* Contributing to the wider Humanities or Religious Education department where required
* Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers
* Following safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times
We are looking for someone who is:
* A qualified teacher with QTS, QTLS or equivalent teaching experience
* Confident teaching Religious Studies within a secondary school setting
* Engaging, reflective and passionate about religious education, philosophy and ethics
* Able to manage classroom behaviour effectively
* Organised, reliable and adaptable
* Positive, enthusiastic and resilient
* Able to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
* Passionate about supporting young people's learning, confidence and development
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status, QTLS or relevant UK teaching experience
* Experience teaching Religious Studies, Religious Education, Philosophy, Ethics or Humanities at secondary level
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
* Right to work in the UK
* Willingness to complete registration, compliance and safeguarding checks
