Nursery Room Leader

As a Room Leader you will lead the team and be responsible for maintaining a high quality of childcare.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and inspire your team to deliver safe, enriching and age-appropriate learning experiences and ensuring all Key Person's tasks are completed
• Responsible for the health and safely of all children in your care, including allergies and risk assessments
• Responsibility for the team's performance
• Ensuring the children are cared for in a happy and stimulating environment and capturing children's learning moments and recording them
• Managing all aspects of the baby room
• Working in partnership with parents and carer
• Responsible for the childrens individual routines such as meals, nappies, sleep and outings
• Experience of being a key person including writing assessments and observations
• Following and implementing all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• Experience of working with children 0-5 years, preferably baby room experience
• Experience of managing a team
• Full and relevant level 3 qualification in Early Years or recognised equivalent
• Current 12hrs Paediatric First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Current Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices and relevant safeguarding/child protection training
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• An excellent knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years and a clear understanding of the EYFS
